----because the light trying to escape the center and we see the light

----(gravitational radius) r_s equal to the mass

Sun Spots

How do sun spots effect us?
they effect us because we need the sun for energy and if theres sun spots on the sun, the heat and energy won't reach our earth.

sun spots are cool parts on the sun. i also know that sun spots cause sun flares as well.

Annie Cannon

my biggest dream is to become a famous singer. but i know that it's never coming true. i have such horrible stage fright but i would love being able to sing all the time. that's been my dream since i was really little and i have a feeling it's not going to change soon.

Electromagnetic Radiation

my life would be different because we need radio waves for tv and radios and that's how we learn everything that happens in the country and out in the world. with out x rays we wouldn't be able to know what was wrong with people when they break something. and that could be dangerous and painful. infrared we use that for pointers and other things. life would be very different with out some of the important things like x rays. but i bet we could live with out other things.

What is up with Mercury?

a. quick rotation
b. between mars and coming back it lost energy
c. 5 diffrent points that mars that the waves hit

What Is It?

i believe it's a nuclear explosion
1. the trees were destroyed
2. there were ridges on the hills like a big impact coming onto the ground
3. there was mushroom cloud and everything around it was ruined: like houses and buildings

Scaling the solar system

A. 122 steps to the guidence office
B. If i was 3 on earth then i would be 8.6 years on mars. the difference would be because the orbits are different speeds and lenghs so it would either go faster or slower depending on the distance between the sun and the plant.
C. 75.4 pounds on mars. the heaviest plant would be jupiter at 472.8 pounds. the gravity is so much stronger, it makes you so much more heavier.

It was kind of cloudy out when i did this so that didn't help, plus people have different eyesight. so it depends.

Who I Am

My name is Julia Wolter. I am a student at West Delaware High School and I had to make a blog for my astronomy class. My favorite things to do is read and listen to music. I even do them at the same time. I know it's weird because not most people can have the radio on while reading but it's hard for me concentrate if I don't. My favorite color is purple and it has been since I was 4 years old. The only relative I have in my school is my 3rd cousin, Trent. My favorite class is English. The classes I'm taking this term are: Statistics, Accounting, Astronomy, and English 3. Some of my friends are: Brittany, Sarah, Adrian, Mariah, Hayley, Tyler, Tiffany, Andrew, Kim, Kelly, Evan and Micah. Some of them are kind of goofy but we have tons of fun. I just started driving and I own a red Cavalier. There is no job for me yet but hopefully in the future. I have 3 kittens: Mr. Wiggles, Maxi and Sissy. I used to have dogs, but not any more. Well, that's a little something about me.
